Plymouth, Michigan

Like Northville, Plymouth Township and The City of Plymouth Michigan is thought of as one community.  The city is 2.27 square miles and boasts a bustling downtown filled with specialty shops and several locally owned restaurants and coffee shops, as well as the historic Penn Theater.  In the center of town is the gorgeous Kellogg Park which is the host to family events and concerts all through the year.  One of the “coolest” events is in January; The International Ice Carving Show, when ice carvers from all over the world gather to sculpt incredible art from a block of ice.  It is a week of fun family events!  Leaving the downtown leads you through charming neighborhoods of well kept up vintage homes.

Plymouth Township surrounds the city with almost 17 square miles.  There is a great mix of upscale homes and world class industrial parks which help the township maintain one of the lowest tax rates in Wayne County. In 2006, this lovely area was ranked 37th by Money Magazine, as the best place to raise a family.
